I remember WebTV. I seem to also remember a device that would POP your
email account and print the messages. I imagine it couldn't send anything.
The only demeaning thing about GrandPad might be the name. They didn't
call WebTV "GrandDads's TV Web".

A long time ago, my relatives bought a WebTV box and internet
subscription for my grandma to try to get her online... Altogether
must've cost close to $1K. I'm not sure that it had ever ended up
being used or even turned on before we removed it.
