I know that is why I use to love eating paint chips too... From: [email protected] Sent: Saturday, December 1, 2018 12:59 PM To: AnimalFarm Microwave Users Group Subject: Re: [AFMUG] Dogs chewing ethernet
PVC has that nice sweet “sugar of lead” additive. And rubber products like windshield wipers. And I keep hearing the white letters on BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires turn brown ever since Michelin bought them and changed the rubber formulation to soy based (only relevant if you have a vintage muscle car). But are they really using soy based plastic in outdoor Cat5 cable? I think UV resistant cable is mostly PVC, can that be made soy based? If it’s biodegradable, that seems like a bad plan for outdoor cable. Only way to prevent it is to run it through conduit or somewhere they can’t get to the cable. It seems when we get damaged ethernet calls, the dogs only chewed our ethernet cable but they leave coax cable untouched. It doesn't matter what brand of cable. We've seen them chew shireen, ubnt, apex 9, primus, RF armor. Can they sense or feel 24v power going through it somehow and wanna make it stop? Just looking for some scientific reason why they target ethernet and maybe a way to help stop it. -- AF mailing list [email protected] http://af.afmug.com/mailman/listinfo/af_af.afmug.com -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -- AF mailing list [email protected] http://af.afmug.com/mailman/listinfo/af_af.afmug.com
