This is written by Karl Bode, so take with a giant grain of salt, but there
seems to be some truth in what he says. The big pipe vendors buying up all
this content like HBO/WarnerMedia to put under their tent can’t be good. The
Net Neutrality dirty tricks don’t come in the simple form that people
envisioned, they are much much worse, and we should hear rumbling in the
distance. Of course zero rating was in a grey area even under the Wheeler NN
rules.

How else does it make sense for AT&T to announce a $400 5G hotspot with a
$70/mo plan with only 15 GB/mo of data? Do you think AT&T owned content will
be zero rated? And do you think AT&T will start pulling their content off
other platforms?

The power of a handful of giant tech companies is getting crazy. Not just
Google and Facebook, but this article about life as a merchant selling on
Amazon sounds like something out of the TV show Gotham:

Must be related to net neutrality...

(I keep forgetting to tell (rub it in) my millennial kids that my prediction of
nothing happening has come true).

www.nyan.cat <http://www.nyan.cat>

Music doesn’t play and counter doesn’t count on Android phone. Work fine on PC
using Edge or Firefox, counter works in Chrome but music doesn’t play. I don’t
have an iOS device or a Mac to check those.

Anybody know why? It doesn’t seem to be related to Flash, or blocking sites
that autoplay sound.

Is Nyan Cat just too old for new devices?

It’s disconcerting to send someone a link that worked on your computer and be
told it doesn’t work on phones. (Also known as stupid little pocket computers
and mind control devices.) These days if something doesn’t work on phones, it
doesn’t work for most people, and if it also doesn’t work in Chrome, it’s
pretty much useless. Does Google just not like cats?
