Not very effective for the growing number of people who only use the Internet
to watch video and play games, and never open a web browser, don’t even own a
computer or tablet, only use their phone for texting and to run social media
apps.

I am still a bit shocked when customers say the only way they have to check if
their Internet is working is to try and watch something on Netflix, because
that’s all they use it for. But it’s becoming more and more common, and as
they say, I’m “shocked but not surprised”. Soon I will expect it.

It's the most effective way. I rarely even open mail that isn't checks from
customers. I don't really look at e-statements either. Automatic payments for
everything.

You had to be right forever, everyone else only had to be right once.
Centurylink intentionally blocked their customers' internet access to display
an ad recently. They could have done a bill insert or even mentioned it in an
e-bill, but they chose to block internet to show an ad.

www.nyan.cat <http://www.nyan.cat>

Music doesn’t play and counter doesn’t count on Android phone. Work fine on PC
using Edge or Firefox, counter works in Chrome but music doesn’t play. I don’t
have an iOS device or a Mac to check those.

Anybody know why? It doesn’t seem to be related to Flash, or blocking sites
that autoplay sound.

Is Nyan Cat just too old for new devices?

It’s disconcerting to send someone a link that worked on your computer and be
told it doesn’t work on phones. (Also known as stupid little pocket computers
and mind control devices.) These days if something doesn’t work on phones, it
doesn’t work for most people, and if it also doesn’t work in Chrome, it’s
pretty much useless. Does Google just not like cats?
