So, the AirTV does have an ethernet port on it, and it works fine to just plug it into the lan instead of using wifi. After it's setup, the over the air channels show up in the Sling app, just like the Sling streaming channels. They do give you the option of signing up for a free account if you don't want to subscribe to Sling.
The biggest problem I see with it, is that you can't pause and rewind live tv... you can start recording something and then go watch the recorded program to be able to pause and rewind, but that's a bit of a pain. They do have another box, the AirTV Player (which is basically an Android TV box with a USB tuner that plugs into it), that does let you pause and rewind live TV, but it only works for one TV, and you need to have an antenna connected to it.
