Doing the PDFs yes. The Windows 10 thing is too non-specific to say. Chrome OS has evolved into a VM host kind of environment, and you can do more with it than most people realize. Overall, it is mainly simpler and less fiddly than Windows 10, or even a Mac for that matter. It is also faster doing everything.
