Dont worry Ken watchtv is bad here I hear alot of of there customers switch over to me saying its slow etc.. such and I tell my new customers yes I know I used to work for them as tech support and they route all there after hours and weekend tech support to CNI in Wapakoneta, Ohio.
I wouldnt worry to much about them at all. They also going to data caps also on there SO called LTE network which they use alvarion radios. -----Original Message----- From: "Ken Hohhof" <[email protected]> To: "AnimalFarm Microwave Users Group" <[email protected]> Date: 02/15/19 03:31 Subject: Re: [AFMUG] Watchcomm expansion in Illinois So is this good, bad, or meh? Honestly, I didn't realize Frontier was eligible for CAF money by me, much less that they passed it up. I mean, it's not like we don't already compete with 2-3 other WISPs throughout our service area. But if they start offering/claiming 100 Mbps speeds for $50, that's gonna peel off some customers. If the offered speed is 25 Mbps, then it's going to depend on how cheap they're willing to price it to gain market share. If you're getting subsidies based on deployment not subscription, then it's not so crucial that you steal all the customers away from the existing WISPs. Eventually you need market share though. Their website isn't giving us any reason for pause, their "Legacy network" highest plan is only 25mb/s. Looks like they're doing TV just with DISH installs. -- AF mailing list [email protected] http://af.afmug.com/mailman/listinfo/af_af.afmug.com -- AF mailing list [email protected] http://af.afmug.com/mailman/listinfo/af_af.afmug.com -- AF mailing list [email protected] http://af.afmug.com/mailman/listinfo/af_af.afmug.com -- AF mailing list [email protected] http://af.afmug.com/mailman/listinfo/af_af.afmug.com -- AF mailing list [email protected] http://af.afmug.com/mailman/listinfo/af_af.afmug.com -- AF mailing list [email protected] http://af.afmug.com/mailman/listinfo/af_af.afmug.com -- AF mailing list [email protected] http://af.afmug.com/mailman/listinfo/af_af.afmug.com
