I have 8 Canopy 450 AP's all receiving sync and power from a RackInjector. Last night 3 of the 8 AP's lost sync and rolled over to On-Board GPS. Only a hand-full of SM's re-registered on 2 of the AP's. Sync loss happened on 2 different cards, not the same card. Looking in the RackInjector logs, there was nothing to indicate a problem. I'll assume it's an issue with the 450 AP's. We run a blend of different software ranging from 15.1.5 and 15.2.
My question is, the sync source change, if long enough, may cause a re-reg. We do back-to-back freq. reuse on 2 AP's. Do you think the different sync sources could cause an issue or drift over time? I'm not sure if the affected AP's will roll back over to the sync/power source. A reboot may be required. As of now, there doesn't seem to be any self-interference.
