I have been very happy with it. We have done about 50 splices with it so far. My only complaint is that you have to use a phone via bluetooth to configure it. We have an orientek otdr. It seems to work well. I have never used another type so it may be lacking but I'm not aware. I saw yesterday that fiberstore has handheld otdr for about $850. They could work too.
