So, if I included a good condom with each surge suppressor, things will be
better?

My thoughts are if you target a specific industry, you should make your product
functional with the components in that industry. EPMP at least acknowleges they
use an inferior ethernet chipset to keep costs down and thats why there is the
potential for flapping. mimose, being the dirty prostitute that they are will
blame all the ghonasyphillaids they give people on the jimmy hats they reuse,
because they come from the health department, and the heath department gives
away crummy condoms. just my .02

We should create a Bingo board where Mimosa says ethernet problems are caused

I've never bought a Mimosa radio and I've heard more ethernet problems with
that brand more than anything else combined it feels like.

I would argue that our CAT6 gas tube versions add about the equivalent of a
foot of CAT5 capacitance.
There is no argument that in some cases it causes problems. But we sell
tens of thousands of these things each year and we hear of one or two instances
like this each year.

In my opinion there must be other contributing factors. But lets see what
the list thinks.

mimosa says You can use it for our radios to get protection on them but
sometimes it can cause Port Flapping between 1000baseT and 100BaseT because of
the additional capacitance it adds on the line between PoE and radio

Why do people keep saying using surges on the top and bottom of a tower
causes connectivity issues? Like dropping from 1gbps to 100 mbps?

How does your stuff work with Mimosa?

Zero on surge suppressors. Fused have a very low resistance, I would
have to look it up, but the voltage drop would depend on current.
