I would probably feel safer on a 300' man lift than a 36' aluminum ladder.

They use those 300' man lifts around here all the time to do wind turbine

No, I mean like down the middle.

Depends where he landed, I suppose... if he landed on top of a building

If he would have fallen in the smokestack instead of off of it, I wonder

That looks terrifying. Why did they ever invent a 300' boom lift? I was
picturing a traditional crane with a man basket.

Says ladder is damaged, not clear if that happened due to him climbing
on it. Also not good when they report that it is “being treated as a
rescue”, i.e. probably recovery but we’re not giving up hope.

Shirtless in 35 degrees definitely sounds like a selfie moment gone
bad...

Between being suspended by his pants and upside down, plus the
temperature, it’s hard to believe the guy is even still alive. It seems
they have given up on the helicopter and are bringing in a crane. More on
the smokestack, which is not exactly new:

Dixon’s Chimney was built for the adjoining Shaddon Mill in 1836 by
Peter Dixon and architect Richard Tattersall.

The Grade II*-listed landmark was originally more than 320 feet tall –
making it the largest chimney in the country at the time it was
built, according to Historic England.

However about 30 feet had to be taken off the top for safety
reasons after it was damaged by lightning in 1931.

i would not want to be under him cause i assume he is raining poop on
people. Anybody know if this is that old guy that they have all the videos
of working these smokestacks?
