Wandering off topic even more... There was a local businessman known for recording conversations. The last meeting I had with him I told him that I'd forgotten to bring any recoding equipment, and that I'd appreciate a copy of what he was going to have.
He never acknowledged my statement by voice, or action. He just kept on with the meeting as if I'd never said anything. One of the more surreal moments in my life.
