Verizon can be tough because there are dozens of companies under the umbrella of the VZW stock ticker.  It's hard to know if it's the Verizon LEC, Verizon Wireless, Verizon Business, etc.

Then when you get the right person they're usually disinterested.

I have had quotes from Verizon, yes.  Never pulled the trigger. I wouldn't call any of what I saw "reasonably priced".

It's definitely Verizon fiber (looked on the line on the pole).  This is not FIOS.

Are you sure it's Verizon fiber?  Or a Verizon cell site?  I think in many cases Verizon may want a cell site in a certain location, they get a tower
leasing company to build a tower, then they get someone like CenturyLink
that has a nearby fiber backbone to run fiber to the tower.  If that's the
case, the actual fiber carrier may be more than willing to sell you
transport or transit.  You might need some real estate they can terminate
on, but it sounds like you have that.

Maybe the first question is which division of Verizon is it. Verizon
Wireless, or the LEC guys, or the long haul guys?  Is this FiOS?

Has anyone had success in getting reasonably priced transport or transit
from Verizon?

There is a location I'd like to service that does not have a microwave shot
in, but does have Verizon fiber on the pole just feet from the service
location.

To date I've been unsuccessful in getting someone to sell me Verizon fiber
however... or they wanted $15,000/month for a 100megabit connection.
