Those Ubiquiti Instant 802.3 things are not super reliable IMO.

I'd use them to forklift an AP, then schedule service calls at convenient times to swap the POE, then re-use the Instant 802 adapters for the next forklift.  Just a thought.

PMP320 SM's are 802.3af, right? That should work fine.

Ubiquiti Instat 802.3af works for that. There's even an
outdoor version... it's relatively low current output though,
so I don't know that it would work for something like a
PMP450AP, but it'll do the job for things like ePMP radios.

Sorry to hijack the thread but what about the opposite
direction? Is there a device you could put inline to
            downconvert from 48v to 24v?

PMP 450i requires 40-59 VDC input, and is not
compatible with the “Canopy” style 29 VDC power supplies.

                This will not work.

As stated before, it’s best to swap power supplies to
the recommended version. A standard 802.3at supply
will also work. (“at” though, not “af”, as this device
                can consume up to ~19W).

It will probably run at 24v

                    I have a PMP450 I want to swap for a PMP450i
