We had that in our towercoverage.com android app, however we have let that app
go as the mobile version does 99% of it, and yes it was nice, but our feedback
was give me the bearing and tilt and we can find it.

I think Gino was developing an augmented reality phone app so you could see
where the towers were through your phones camera.

That was kind of my reaction, you may be hiring people who are kind of clueless.

I think our schools aren’t teaching basic stuff anymore. I get customers all
the time who can’t answer questions like are you north or south of town, or is
your house on east or west side of the street.

If they are installing an antenna, they need to have eyes on the tower, choose
a mounting location that isn’t shooting through a tree, etc. People try to do
everything with an app these days. Make sure they don’t try to pound in nails
using their phone and a hammer app.

Towercoverage.com<http://towercoverage.com/> is very good. We also have our
KMZ's on Google Earth. But you know, there isn't much better than your guys
just knowing where the towers are and where the customer is in relation to them.

Just checked it. Yep, you put dots on the map page and select a dot. So you
can import all the Aps into the map. You have to actually select the dot on
the map page.

Then when you go to the VR theodolite page, the heading to that dot shows up on
the compass wheel and it tells you if you need to look left or right. It
doesn’t put the dot visibly in the field of view but it certainly helps you to
put the cross hairs right on the correct heading.

Theodolite will allow you to import markers that I believe show up on the VR
view.

We have that… looking for more of a compass time app that will point him to a
tower, based on stored LAT / LONG

Anyone have a favorite app?? (android or iPhone) for putting in the LAT/LONG
of all the towers, so that the newbies have a general direction to a tower from
their location.

Looking to import (or type them) in all the towers..

Thanks!
