That’s the most popular one.  No, it does not have powered reverse, you take a 
turn or two off the capstan and let it slip.  And yes it is slow, that is due 
to the gearing and goes with the load rating.

    I just bought a new winch

work but to my surprise it does not have reverse, and it's painfully slow. Our 
old My-Te had reverse,

thought it was a standard thing. It is really handy for lowering loads and 
getting them in just the right position. Our My-Te winch is 15 years old and 
has certainly paid for itself but it is due to be replaced. I would just get 
another My-Te but I would like a smidge more load capacity. What winch do you 
use? Any recommendations?
