I saw an article in one of the rags I read that divided the first tier of vaccine recipients into 1a, 1b, and 1c.

1a - has (at least) healthcare workers and assisted living people (who mostly 75+ anyway).

1b - expanded that to essential workers and those 75+ (who I presume are not in assisted living)

1c - expands that to those between 65 and 74.

I edited the above to what I remembered for sure. There are others in each of those categories.

That sounds right.

It was interesting for once that I’m too YOUNG to get something (75 and older).  But looking at the state death totals by age, that does make sense.

Wasn’t the CDC recommendation 75+ and “frontline essential workers”?  It will probably be up to the states and counties to interpret that.  They might decide that grocery store clerks and bus drivers and teachers are ahead of you.  Everyone’s essential, right?  But what constitutes frontline?  Probably interacting on a daily basis with people who are or might be infected.  Not sure the electric company lineman is frontline.

I suspect reach out to your county health department.

Utility workers are to be included in the next round.  I wonder how you apply/get vetted?
