Jaime, did you read the Michael Crichton book Timeline? It involved time travel as well as teleportation, but people came out the other end slightly rearranged. Multiple trips and the reassembly errors added up. I also seem to remember the premise was that people were bored with all the high tech and virtual reality, and the most sought after experience was to go back in history when things were real, so time travel to the past would be very profitable.
