That chart is ancient. And yes, at one time Motorola’s own surge suppressor
was causing errors. I worked out what was causing the problem and did the
GIGE-SS. It was a full 8 wire surge suppressor where the older 444 had 4 wires
for POE and 4 wires for data. It worked better than the Motorola product but
when Cambium made a design change it still was the source of errors. So the
CAT-6 was borne out of that experience.

Perhaps an update of the chart is warranted?

Tech spec page for the 800-GIGE-SS-HV shows "
a.. Ethernet CRC error correction circuit"
But the chart does not show that or perhaps GIGE-SS-HV on the chart isn't the
same as 800-GIGE-SS-HV?
800-CAT6-SS does not seem to be on the chart at all

  Chuck,

What is the 800-GIGE-SS-HV recommended for then? I thought that was the SS
that specifically worked with Cambium and helped minimize CRC errors.

Cat 6 is for Cambium. 100% gas tube.

We primarily install Cambium 450SMs but now also have one LTU POP which
has moved from Beta to production - using LTU PRO CPE. Trying to standardize
on one surge suppressor for client installs. What are the pros and cons of
each? Primary concern is integrity of the connection (CRCs, errors, etc).
