I want to add a 'b' a/c power using a inverter with transfer switch, this inverter will pass utility power unless it fails then it will change to 48v input.
I want to add a second battery bank to power this inverter but the inverter does not charge, can I 'charge' the new battery from the existing dc plant while keeping it isolated? Would a diode or a dcdc converter work best? Trying to avoid the second bank feeding back because they are different chemistry and internal resistance.
