We're also in rain zone K, and we have a few 80ghz links that are right around 2 miles (ranging from about 1.9 to 2.1 miles) using 2' dishes (Bridgewave radios, not Siklu, but the TX power is roughly the same, so I don't see there being any significant difference), and also a couple that are around .75 miles - those are both using a 1' dish on one end, so it's not quite fair, but even at that distance they'll occasionally drop (it is pretty rare though, and it takes very heavy rain). At 1.7 miles, it will drop in heavy rain. Based on my experience, I would say it'll probably be pretty similar to the AF24's at that distance... maybe slightly better, or slightly worse, but the same storms are generally going to take them both down. Depending on the configuration, you might be able to hold higher capacity for longer with 80ghz, and 24ghz might hang on a little longer at low modulation before it drops.
