The first time was on Halloween when I was walking up to one of the houses and I could see Bonanza playing on the TV facing the window. I don't remember what year it was, but Bonanza played from 1959 through 1973; so somewhere in there, and it actually had to have been before 1966 because we moved away from there after that.

I remember there being a little steam powered (I think it was steam powered) locomotive type contraption smaller than a a Radio Flyer. You would have to wade through all 431 episodes of Boanza to figure out when that aired.

I'm also guessing it had to be before ~~ 1962 because that would have been near the end of my trick or treating days.
