Had to have been around 64ish, my Dad was the one in the neighborhood
that had to have the first of everything. When they came out with the
color portable, I think GE, he got one of those and kept it all the way
into the late 80s. We had an original Amana Radar range and ruined a
lot of food in it. I remember pot pies that the sides ended up looking
like styrofoam...

The first time was on Halloween when I was walking up to one of the
houses and I could see Bonanza playing on the TV facing the window. I
don't remember what year it was, but Bonanza played from 1959 through
1973; so somewhere in there, and it actually had to have been before
1966 because we moved away from there after that.
I remember there being a little steam powered (I think it was steam
powered) locomotive type contraption smaller than a a Radio Flyer. You
would have to wade through all 431 episodes of Boanza to figure out
when that aired.
I'm also guessing it had to be before ~~ 1962 because that would have
been near the end of my trick or treating days.
