Just make sure it is DC rated, else it will wear out very quickly, perhaps the 
first time you use it.  Contact will arc and weld or arc and burn off if it is 
not designed for DC.

DC is a much bigger deal because the voltage is constant. So there is never a 
low current condition unless the load is wildly variable (which is not typical).


In an AC circuit, you have a zero crossing 120 times per second. So there is a 
low current (zero actually) condition every time it crosses zero. Eliminates 
the arcing issue.
