I think it checks with the AFC once per day to make sure no new Part 101
links have been added to the database.  Unfortunately both AP and CPE need
GPS, they don't trust a certified professional installer to register the
lat/lon like with CBRS.

 

Cambium I believe absorbs the AFC cost.
