They certainly didn't make this too easy.

There are three different 2004s.

https://mikrotik.com/product/ccr2004_16g_2splus Copper ports, potentially hot
swap 120v power supplies
https://mikrotik.com/product/ccr2004_16g_2s_pc Passively cooled version of the
above with a normal DC jack and an Amphenol-type connector
https://mikrotik.com/product/ccr2004_1g_12s_2xs fiber ports, works with the
+-48v power supplies

If it's the one I'm thinking of, it's not hot swap. 4 screws.

I would call that the normal 2004, as I believe it was released first. The
CCR2004-16G-2S+ is an impostor. ;-)

Those look like hot-swap power supplies. I wonder if one of the other power
supplies Mikrotik carries would work.

The CCR2004-1G-12S+2XS it may fit. Not the normal CCR2004. I ordered the parts
and went through this nightmare that same time I lost those green DC plugs.

How? It's specifically mentioned as a supported model. No solder required.

and as I said, I have these in production. I didn't do the power supply swap
myself, but the brochure in the product page shows how you would install it.

The 2004 doesn't fit the Mikrotik 48vdc power supply. They're two totally
different form factors. Sure you could crack the case open and make it work
with some solder, but I figured we wanted parts that would fit.

I guess it depends on which 2004. The product page says it does work with one
of them. We are using that one successfully on -48.

That 48vdc power supply doesn't work on at least the 2004...I don't know about
the other CCR. It does on the 1009 (which was my first suggestion, but keep in
mind that's an older TILE router)

The PW48V-12V85W power board can take -48vdc. Many of the CCR series can accept
that PSU.

Are there are any Mikrotik models that definitely work with positive ground? I
know I can use an isolated converter, but it would make me happier if I don't
need one.
