we did have a bug with our backup software, basically it would run "as a 
service" but never finish starting, only way to stop it is to reboot the 
server, this with the latest windows update ..  Ended up installing another 
version of java and it fixed it..

I've been having issues to. I updated my bios to make sure its only done it a 
couple times while I've been working on it usually does it in the middle of the 
night when its idle is whats strange.
