Exactly that. Newspapers have been in a profit decline since they were
passed up by radio for rapid news. But even in their hay days they
were the voice of the rich. They just had more reason to sell to both
sides of the street. I think when you become the top 1% you don't
really care which side of politics you are on, just which side you can
influence towards the profit going in your pocket. There are exceptions.

Washington Examiner is owned by Philip Anschutz. Washington Post is
Bezos. New York Post and Wall Street Journal are Murdoch. And so on
down the list. I assume newspapers aren’t profitable so they become
vanity pieces for rich people?

If you go to the Examiner’s website and search for antifa it comes up
with a mountain of this stuff. So seems they do have a certain
“theme”. A distinct “flavor”.
