the vast majority of people there dont actually care one way or another as
long as theyre not directly impacted. then depending on which side impacts
them negatively they pick a team. 100 people consistently being present can
always look like a crowd, but regional arrest records show its the same
people per region. Chicago being 2.7 million, its not really much of an
actual thing. But it makes good viewing and opens the funding doors both
directions. end of the day its about getting funds for politicians pet
projects, aligning for future political moves (prickster 2028, lol), and
very little to do with actual people.
If the politicians actually cared about the illegals, DACA "kids" (who now
have grandkids) would not still be in limbo, either direction.
"squalid conditions" is one of my favorite media/politician terms.
