I could be wrong (we aren’t a Tarana shop) but I seem to remember Tarana saying they had a rash of AP (BN) failures and concluded the solution was you had to install a DC surge protector at the radio, and that after that change, the problem stopped occurring.
We did go down the Purewave WiMAX rabbit hole (that was a long time ago) and they said something similar. At the bottom of the DC cable, I felt like the batteries were a pretty good surge protector, maybe that was naïve. Up to 56 volts, up 15 amps. 4 layers of protection. Rack or wall mount. 8-24 awg wire connector. Apparently a 48V DC surge protector. Not cheap (~$385). Sounds like it incorporates some sort of self resetting circuit breaker. https://viaphoton.com/THORe2/ -- AF mailing list [email protected] <mailto:[email protected]> http://af.afmug.com/mailman/listinfo/af_af.afmug.com -- AF mailing list [email protected] <mailto:[email protected]> http://af.afmug.com/mailman/listinfo/af_af.afmug.com -- AF mailing list [email protected] <mailto:[email protected]> http://af.afmug.com/mailman/listinfo/af_af.afmug.com -- AF mailing list [email protected] <mailto:[email protected]> http://af.afmug.com/mailman/listinfo/af_af.afmug.com
