I didn't see that spec, but I'd assume 5ft to the ground bus rather than 5ft to
earth.

Either that, or it's a get-out-of-warranty-free card.

How are you supposed to have <= 5 foot from this thing to ground? Like if you
mount it at waist height you won't be able to make it that short.

Maybe they're looking at it all wrong. They should use Chuck's cheaper design
and keep charging $385.

Chuck,

You are cutting into their margin.

I was given a very expensive comparable to match for specs. I improved it and
greatly reduced the price too.

Did they have a list of specs, or just come up with something and we'll tell
you if we like it?

I built one specifically for them but they dont seem too interested in
approving it. Probably too cheap. Up to 56 volts, up 15 amps. 4 layers of
protection. Rack or wall mount. 8-24 awg wire connector.

Is this thing weird, or it it just me? Says approved by Tarana. Apparently a
48V DC surge protector. Not cheap (~$385). Sounds like it incorporates some
sort of self resetting circuit breaker.
