I wouldn't rely on it as a 100% line of defense. But it is pretty decent. It
catches a lot of random stuff we see coming inbound (and attempting to go
outbound.)

It's mostly things like trojans, botnets, SQL server exploits, etc.

Anyone know how often the malware signatures are updated, or how good it is?

There is a Procera category for "Malware" which you can use to filter traffic
which has a malware signature.

You can build triggers to identify certain types of malicious traffic and block

I am not sure on the DOS filtering but I don't think it would matter that much
if you're upstream was saturated anyway. I did see some stuff in there that it
could filter out certain types of worms and adware.

Kurt, does the Procera have any kind of real-time virus/Dos protection?

Kurt, are you blocking or shaping any torrents? I don't see that in your chart.

Havn't shaped any traffic yet with this procera box. But here is a graph of
what kind of traffic the clients are using as a whole in one days time. Of
course Netflix is at top. But i am surprised at how close behind that youtube
is (shows up as http media stream) Usually at any given time the
Netflix/Youtube accounts for 50-75% of all traffic running through this box.
