On superstingers, a 2.4 would totally kill a 5.7 signal. From: Chuck McCown via Af Sent: Tuesday, December 02, 2014 10:33 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [AFMUG] 2.4 vs 5.7 Stingers
2.4 all have a scoop on the back. Not sure if you would see a drop using a 2.4 on a 5.7 but you will probably not see much of an increase. Unless we are talking about super stingers. They look the same. From: Sam Kirsch via Af Sent: Tuesday, December 02, 2014 10:28 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [AFMUG] 2.4 vs 5.7 Stingers I have a stock of Stingers where the labels have worn off and I'm trying to see if I can get a baseline for which ones are 2.4 and which are 5.7. I know I should see about 10db of gain on the 5.7 and 6db on the 2.4, but I was wondering what numbers should I see if they're backwards (IE, I want to lazily check these against one type of SM). Would I see a reliable signal drop if I put a 2.4 stinger on a 57SM? -- Samuel Kirsch, Tech Support/Web Development/Sales Plexicomm - Internet Solutions | www.plexicomm.net Office: 1.866.759.4678 x109 | Fax: 1.866.852.4688 Emergency Support: 1.866.759.9713 | [email protected]
