I've been using PCQ and setting a rate limit in the queue type rather
than in the queue itself. I create a queue type for each speed I want
to assign to people.
The only reason I do it that way is that as of ROS 6.something a simple
queue doesn't seem to limit the user to exactly the speed you
specify....or at least when they hit speedtest.net they get a number
somewhat lower than expected. If I do PCQ and set a limit in the queue
type then they get exactly what I want them to.
I hadn't looked at packet loss as compared to queue type.
What settings are people using for
Simple Queue with burst queue - Queue Type?
I am looking to make sure there is no packet loss.
pfifo, red? What settings are recommended?
