They have a little switch built in too.

Some of the Ubiquiti radios (NanoBridges, if I remember right), have u.fl 
connectors inside, I've never tried it, but I've always assumed those aren't 
active since they have antennas integrated onto the board.

      Generally speaking people will get a u.fl to N female bulkhead.  Then box 
it up as "the radio".  On the tower you have the antenna, N male jumper and 
"the radio".
