I emailed Sterling off-list with details. The concise answer here (cough,
cough) is that it does take a lot to get things setup on Amazon. Their
ecosphere is complex and requires an investment of time and commitment to see
it through and get past the conceptual hurdles. You really need to learn their
API to do things right. In the end, we have a very solid platform, reliable
mail delivery without server blocks etc.

Amazon is a space shuttle though… you probably just want to fly a drone ☺

I think Paul probably can write the book on how to do it. He endured the pain,
may as well take advantage of it.
Seriously, an e book on how to do this may make a few shekels.

Hmmm, I don’t want to maintain it so much as I just want to click in every few
months or so.

Amazon should be good for that at least.

If you are looking for easy, don't use Amazon for email services. If you need
a mailing list, install mailman on your own box (hosted or otherwise) and roll
with it.

PDMnet, can you email me?
Was there a how-to you followed?

I’m looking for the easy answers here.
I like to volunteer for this kind of stuff, but not actually do much, lol!

Of this list?

I need to create a list serve/forwarder for small business in my city and want
to see if the recent change was good.

Isn't it hosted on Amazon services?
