Well, mine are constantly dropping hte connections to the cameras behind them.
Two to three times a day, but they're non-critical cameras and it's a very
brief drop.

I thought everyone knew about the buffer and packetloss issues by now.

Thought you might know something special. Nevermind lol

Yes, all UBNT fans I know that have ToughSwitches are throwing them into a
fire. Mine aren't in production use on my WISP and I'm still tempted to.

I'd probably go 260GSP, though. Not because the other ones aren't good, but
because I'm not using them in critical applications and the cheapness would be
nice.

Get r id of those toughswitches ASAP in my opi nion.

Tiny buffers, desktop grade switch chipset, ~2% packetloss just pinging through
the switch with only 2 de vices connected.

We have been proactive in purging them from our network for edgeswitches and
now netoni x . netonix is also about to release their DC switches , and even
the 8 port netonix can port 2 AirFibers/SAF/B5(c)/etc.

That unit is actually made by Taiwanese company Cotek. I have one of their
ST1000-148 units in service for about 3 years with no problems, probably the
same unit with a transfer switch. I think you’ll find the fan only runs when
needed.

Any experience with samlex?

fan...

A fanless version with about the same power would be ideal.
