First off I'd suggest getting enough batteries that you wouldn't need an LVD.
Second, I'd rather see my batteries lose a bit of life and keep the site up then have everything go down saving my batteries. Tertiary/finally, what equipment do you have now? My regulator cuts off at 19v and still provides 24v. I figure the batteries are at 9.5v they're already suuuuper low.
