I would worry that during warmer days, you will not have enough cool air in the shed to properly cool the generator. Say it is a 5 kW generator, that means that at a bare minimum 7kW of heat is going to get liberated from the engine. Half of that will go out the exhaust but the rest will be warming the enclosure.
Be like two or three electric space heaters running there. Honestly, we used a 4" Pellet Stove vent and screwed it to the end of the exhaust pipe on the generator. Not the prettiest thing in the world, but works fine.
