My little suburb used to have a small Sears store in the center of town (now an 
upscale Mexican restaurant), it carried some common items but you could also 
order from the catalog and have it delivered to the store.  A concept that is 
coming back with a lot of retailers letting you order online and pick up at 
your local brick-and-mortar store.  What’s old is new again.
