No. They are higher gain. But they have a different pattern.

1 degree less elevation. Wider azimuth.

The bigger looking exactly like ePMP antennas are 3x3.

Smaller and less gain? Augh.

Another new sector is rfelements carrier class. Looks very much like the epmp
sectors but is smaller. This metal on the back gives very good f/b ratios which
I guess is the reason cambium selected this design.

Anyone have experience with the dual 5 GHz sectors?

Paul, the 2.4GHz experience with these antennas is horrible. When I say
horrible, I mean horrible. 5GHz works fine for the most part.

Chuck

Well, obviously the dual band part is attractive… was just wondering if an
1/16” steel backing would help it. Would cost much, and still retains the
lesser tower rent per month. 4 extra sectors = $ 200+ per month

Anybody using a competitors dual band product successfully

Throw it off the tower and put something else in its place?

Short of building a big metal wall (which may not work, just guessing) I'm not
sure what you could do.

We're abandoning the use of these in sites. 2.4 in V/H is the first problem.
F/B as JL suggested. The antenna itself is not at the higher level of
desirability, but in a pinch where you might need to retain space and such it
might work out ok. I wouldn't put it in my WISP anymore though.

Chuck

It helps to use the version with the built in enclosure... it gets you an extra
layer of metal on the back that kind of works as shielding.

I have some ITElite 2.4GHz sectors, still on the ground due to the poor F/B

Gain is really good in testing though. I'm going to put something else up to
shield the back.

The F/B ratio is shit. Complete shit. Garbage. Just awful. I've got several
sites where the 180* actually has more gain than front facing (ie I hear east
better than west while being a mile or two west of the tower).

The hardware is a joke, but workable.

Forward 5 GHz gain seems about right. 2 GHz gain may be lacking, though I
suspect it isn't.
