That's weird, it's just a switch. Spec says the 801 does 11.9M PPS and
16Gbps switching fabric. Maybe flow control? It says it does flow
control, I assume that's auto negotiated. If you have flow control
enabled on the CCR interfaces, try turning it off. I know I had problems
with that. Pause frames will make your life miserable.
I have the same scenario about to happen. Couple intermediate hops, no
need for routing in the middle, so I need a couple GigE switches that
can run on +48VDC. I was looking at the IGS-501T. So I'd be very
interested to know what you figure out.

haven't been to the site yet, we had 2 licensed links that were maxed
out at 360 and we just went 2+0 on one of them and as soon as we
turned it up the latency spikes when traffic goes over about 600 when
doing a bandwidth test between 2 ccrs over the links, problem could be
anywhere but I suspect the switch at the moment. I can't really see
why though since it should be able to do a gig no problem.

I have a planet 8 port (igs-801t) un-managed gig switch that I
suspect might be running out of steam at about 600mbps, anything
over 600 I'm seeing increased latency, has anyone ever ran a
planet gig switch up near a gig before? Do they preform?
