A pipeline is a hell of a lot more disruptive than a plow or drill. Around here they can plant over any ROW that's not road and the utility reimburses for crop damage. Pipelines typically do not use State/County ROW. They don't ever want to have to move them. They paid $8/ft for a pipeline going in here for easement access on a project next to our fiber build. Homeowners are pissed they can't get money from us because we are using the State ROW.
