I was thinking the spacer under one side to compensate for the rotation around the tank. There are also Z brackets for fastening at a 90 that could be bent pretty easily to compensate for the angle.
These are plates I had machined up to attach to vertical angle on a different water tower (the U-Bolts need cutting down yet, and there is a spacer to fill the inside of the L channel) but the same idea with the square U-Bolt turned 90 degrees and moved to the edge would work. Use a couple of those to attach to 2, 3, or 4 bands and you would have a really solid mount. These are stainless since the site owner was insisting on everything being stainless. Sometimes it’s just easier to say OK, and go with it.
