Consider it good. Been running that split load for some time with NO issues.

3.0.2.1 is the latest stable

Looks like they don’t add support for split frequencies until the 3.0.3-beta2 (still in beta…)

Version 3.0.3-beta2 (June 4, 2015)

New Features:

- Support for split rx and tx frequencies

What software release are you running?

I don’t see any option for “split frequency mode”…

I see that mentioned in the user guide, but it’s not on the page … (see attached)

Hi,

Yes, those are only intended for DFS fallback at the moment. If you are not using DFS frequencies, you can select the split frequency mode and freq 2 and 3 will be replaced by an rx and tx frequency selection. The scanning algorithm has a number of changes coming in future releases so stay tuned...

So if I’m using non-DFS frequencies just leave Frequency 2 & 3 at 0?

You have to specify the same frequencies. That's how it works.

Secondary and tertiary are for DFS. Chuck said it won't be necessary for 5.1 and 5.7 sometime.

Hi,

Just wondering what everyone else is doing as far as AirFiber 5x frequencies…

In the newest firmware, It has a spots for 3 frequencies. Their user guide only says it should have an option for a separate tx and rx frequency.

I’ve done a quick search of the UBNT forums and I haven’t found an explanation (at least not in English)

Am I to assume Frequency 1 is the TX, Frequency 2 is the RX, and 3 is an alternate?

If Frequency 1 is the TX and 2 is the RX… is it best to choose 2 different bands for those? (5.2 for tx/5.7 for rx?)

Just curious how everyone else is doing it.

Thanks

Justin
