Keepass. It's probably the most widely used standalone (not cloud based, not a
service, but something you run yourself) software package for password
management. Fully open source.

KeepassX on OSX

kpcli on linux command line systems.

the crypto behind it has been examined to a decent degree of scrutiny. There
are some major ISPs that use it for sensitive things that require fixed
passwords.

  Hi,

As we connect to more sites and more software, it is getting harder and
harder to remember all password. I used to rotate few but lately with strict
requirements it is hard. What is happening is every time I try to login I have
to reset the password.

I was looking at few password management software. Like laspass. Anybody uses
this? Pro con? Any other suggestions?

  Thanks,
