Reading again it sounds like a DOCSIS problem. Without logging into the
CMTS and looking at all the parameters for the modem in question
troubleshooting may be difficult or impossible. You may see the same
results if you leave a Linux-based laptop, some old Thinkpad with a proper
Intel chipset 1000BaseT interface directly connected to the cablemodem
running tests for a 24-36 hour period.
