There isn't a good antenna option that's any less gain than the 12dbi yagis
at this point anyway... there are some 10db panels out there, but nothing
that's going to be practical to use with the 450i, so yes, yagis are
necessary (but I'm sure there will eventually be 12ish-dbi panels available
that should work just as well).
