You're talking about those blue dummy grenades. Those are pretty much just fuses and maybe a tiny smoke charge. They don't blow up, and they're not a true smoke grenade. They're useful for finding those fuckers that never threw a baseball or those that will get nervous and throw the pin and hold the grenade.
