Democrats and Republicans regularly gerrymander when they are in power. Voting districts ought to be by zipcodet. If choose then the politicians would just change your zipcodet which would be a real PITA. moveon.org had got to go as well. All of these things are just part of the symptom of the real root issue.
I think it is very much like the drug problem. The users are the driver for the rest of the bad behavior. In politics, the voters are the drivers. We the voters are to blame for rejecting people to the hill for decades on end based on how much wasteful spending they bring back to us. I wish we had someone else to blame but every people deserve the government they allow to rule over them. I don't care what party they are from, I vote for whomever is not the incumbent, excluding the president which is protected from eternal government office wealth building. How is it that most of these guys show up to one of the most expensive cities on America on a decent but not extravagant salary and leave decades later wealthy. Yet nobody ever looks into the money trail of how that happened.
